PRATHAMASENSE
PRATHAMASENSE GENOSENSOR device provides ultrafast detection of microbial infection and Antimicrobial Resistance in just 90 minutes.
Paper-based biosensors are a type of paper-based microfluidics that can detect pathogens in samples. The low cost, portability, and ease of use of paper-based detection systems have all been praised. Because of its portability, it’s highly recommended for detection research. A lot of work is going on to increase the accuracy, efficiency, and sensitivity of paper-based biosensors to test for multiple contaminants at the same time. For the first time in India, RAMJA GENOSENSOR PVT Ltd is launching India’s first paper-based infection and antimicrobial resistance detection system.
Our fight against infection :Infection is a major concern, particularly in the intensive care unit (ICU), where approximately 60-80% of patients develop harmful infections including catheter-related bloodstream infections, ventilator-associated pneumonia, and catheter-associated urinary tract infections. Because of the high infection rates, every single patient in the ICU is screened. . Since a one-hour delay in care will raise death rates by up to 16% in vital cases, time is important. Standard studies, on the other hand, require 2-5 days to produce results and physicians are forced to treat the infection with synthetic antibiotics, which does further damage to the patient in terms of antibiotic resistance. Antibiotic resistance is often linked to the excessive use of broad-spectrum antimicrobial agents, with more than 80% of all ICU patients receiving antibiotics during their stay.
RAMJA GENOSENSOR has developed a fast, simple, and cost-effective solution for all hospitals, laboratories, and remote areas: a noble paper-based system that detects microbial infection and antimicrobial resistance within 2 hours. Our device is ultrasensitive, gene specific, portable, precise, compact, and user-friendly in almost every way. Unlike existing experiments (2-3 days result waiting) however, the PRATHAMASENSE gives results in <2 hours, saving both lives and money for hospitals. It is cost-efficient than conventional research approaches such as culture and PCR because it reduces maintenance costs of any lab up to 95% and workforce costs by almost 80%.
Our Technology at a glance :Currently, there are over 4-5 techniques available in the world (culture, PCR, MALDI, Sequencing), all of those are time-consuming (2-5 days to get a result), expensive, difficult to execute, and require a team of experts (Scientist, Ph.D., M.D., M.Sc., Technician, 8-10 people). As a result of these current delayed procedures, doctors begin prophylactic antibiotics, causing antibiotic resistance and a high risk of death in ICU and other essential disease patients. So, for a country like India, we need a solution that is fast, gene specific, culture independent, cost-effective, and user-friendly, and that can have a quick outcome for patients while reducing the risk of death from sepsis and Multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS). RAMJA GENOSENSOR is a Med-Tech Indian Company that offers highly accurate and innovative paper-based technology for the detection of microbial infection and antibiotic resistance. Our team at RAMJA GENOSENSOR has developed INDIA’s first Paper Biosensor-based microbial infection and antibiotic susceptibility device, PRATHAMASENSE that can produce results in 90 minutes, which is cost-effective in terms of setup and can be performed at room temperature at a table, reducing infrastructure costs

PRATHAMASENSE is world’s first device that is capable of detecting infection and antibiotic susceptibility in less than 2 hours with high sensitivity and accuracy.
RAMJA GENOSENSOR provides a fast, simple, and cost-effective solution for all hospitals, laboratories, and remote areas: a novel paper-based system that detects microbial infection and antimicrobial resistance in less than 2 hours.
Importance of time in medication :Time plays a crucial role in the medical profession. The term “proper medication” refers to taking the right medication at the right time. You may have noticed that when a doctor prescribes medicines to a patient, he or she frequently specifies the precise time at which the medication should be taken. This is because treatment can only be successful if it is taken at the right time.
Traditional methods of detection of infection and antibiotic resistance will take around 3-5 days to generate the final report which is ineffective in case of patients suffering from serious immunocomplex diseases. This problem gave rise to the thought of making a device that is capable of detecting infection and antibiotic resistance in the minimum period. So that the patient can be treated on an urgent basis and medication can be given to them considering the correct reports as soon as possible.
Accuracy of the report :The final report generated after sample analysis by PRATHAMASENSE is highly accurate as the device is highly sensitive to every microbial infection. Since this is Paper-based biosensor technology, the detection limit is quite less and can even detect minute microbial infection and antibiotic resistance.
Trustworthy report :Our team has over 14 years of experience in clinical trials and microbiology. Wefeel very proud to say, this technology receive Indian Patent, US PATENT (in progress). We have successfully completed our clinical trial at AI.I.I.M.S. Delhi. RAMJA GENOSENSOR PVT LTD. Is now iso-13485-2016 approved as per international standard and having our manufacturing unit at Okhla New Delhi.
