RAMJA Genosensor was born from a deeply personal loss and a powerful determination to change the future of infection diagnostics. In 2014, our founder lost her father to an undetected infection during cancer treatment. The infection report arrived after his passing—a devastating moment that exposed the critical delay in conventional diagnostic timelines. This life-altering experience became the driving force behind our innovation. Motivated to bridge the deadly gap between symptom onset and accurate diagnosis, she set out to develop a technology that could detect infections and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in under 90 minutes—instead of waiting 3 to 4 days. After years of research, development, and testing, RAMJA Genosensor emerged as a groundbreaking solution incubated at IIT Delhi. Our name, RAMJA, is a tribute—blending the names of the founder and her father: Ramesh + Pooja.
